Cynthia Kresse is an artist, sculptor and medical illustrator. She lives and works in Eureka Springs, a Victorian village located in the Ozark mountains of Arkansas.

“Rural life has an influence on my artwork, not only in the subject matter, but in the use of light. Far from the city’s glow, both dawn and dusk linger. I can appreciate the subtle colors of each, and notice the slow creation of silhouettes. Country darkness allows me to truly see the contrasting qualities in natural versus artificial light.”
